Applications are currently invited for the position of Vice President, Advancement located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Reporting to the President, the incumbent will attract and steward new donors and sources of revenue and ensure an exceptional donor and alumni experience to create connections that last a lifetime. The Vice President, Advancement is responsible for building and leading a team focused on enhancing the College’s reputation and brand through effective stakeholder engagement, comprehensive communication strategies, and high-profile showcase events.
As a member of the College’s Executive team, the incumbent takes part in the broad strategic planning, organization, leadership and management of the College. The Vice President, Advancement is expected to build meaningful and mutually beneficial relationships with students and employees and to nurture a strong global network of alumni, community leaders, industry partners, and charitable foundations.
Niagara College offers a competitive compensation, pension and benefits package. The salary range for this role is $142,935 to $190,580. We also provide a balance of on-campus and remote work through our recently introduced Remote Work Policy. As a place-based organization all positions will involve some degree of on campus work.
Ideal candidate qualifications:
- Relevant master’s degree
- Minimum twelve (12) years of relevant and progressive leadership/management experience
- Proven relationship-building skills and ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with various stakeholder groups
- Direct experience in building a fund development strategy and providing leadership in fund development, preferably in a public sector environment
- Proven ability in developing and leading corporate and internal communications
- Expertise with media relations and experience serving as spokesperson regarding critical reputational issues
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a leader with employees, students, a Board of Governors, Student Government officials, and other diverse groups in educational and community settings
- Outstanding budget acumen
- Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation is considered an asset
