Senior Development Officer, Campaign Events – BRANKSOME HALL

Reporting to the Director, Campaign and Development, and working closely with the Executive Director, Advancement and Community Engagement (ACE), the Senior Development Officer, assists with the curation, planning and execution of a wide variety of events that engage donors, prospects, and stakeholders with Branksome’s comprehensive Fundraising Campaign.

Salary Range:  $75,000 – $85,000

The Opportunity:

The successful candidate will oversee creation and design of compelling events that achieve Campaign financial and stewardship objectives, through cultivating and stewarding prospects and donors. This individual will manage all event logistics and budgets to execute events on time and within budget. They are also responsible for drafting invitations and speaking notes; in addition to supervising staff, contractors and volunteers for day-of execution and conduct post-event debriefing, analysis, and other follow-up processes.

The Senior Development Officer, Campaign Events will work closely with third parties, external suppliers, and senior volunteers to execute events that enhance the reputation of Branksome Hall. The successful incumbent will also be required to attend events and other school functions that may take place before or after regular hours of work and/or on weekends.

Candidate Profile

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment with excellent service orientation? Do you have excellent written and oral communications skills, the ability to multitask as well as the ability to interact positively with various stakeholders? If so, then this might be the right role for you!

The ideal candidate takes a “can do” approach, is solution oriented and can work collaboratively in a cross-functional team. In addition, the successful candidate holds a post-secondary degree and/or a diploma in a related field (event management, fundraising, marketing, project management etc.) with a minimum of 5 years of experience. Previous experience in a non-profit charity or private sector environment would be considered a strong asset. Strong organizational, interpersonal and project management skills are also essential. Strong technology skills, proficiency in MS office, Google Suite applications and familiarity with catering or event planning software are part of your profile.
