The Executive Director will play a pivotal role in strategizing, planning, and executing fundraising initiatives that enable our local hospital to acquire much needed equipment and enhance our facilities. Key Responsibilities:
-Strategic Leadership: Together with the Board develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to guide the organization’s fundraising efforts and achieve its financial goals.
-Fundraising Management: Oversee all fundraising activities, including major gift campaigns, grant writing, special events, and donor cultivation, to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.
-Financial Management: Manage the organization’s budget, financial resources, and fiscal responsibilities, ensuring transparency and accountability in all financial transactions.
-Community Engagement: Foster and maintain strong relationships with donors, volunteers, community leaders, and healthcare professionals to expand the organization’s network and support base.
-Advocacy and Awareness: Advocate for the hospital’s needs within the community and promote awareness of the organization’s mission and impact.
-Board Relations: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to provide regular updates on organizational progress, seek their guidance, and ensure effective governance.
-Team Leadership: Lead, inspire, and manage a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth.
-Compliance: Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and best practices for nonprofit organizations.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certification in nonprofit management, business, or related discipline is a plus.
-Proven track record of successful fundraising, including experience with major gifts, grant writing, and donor relations.
-Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
-Experience in nonprofit financial management and budgeting.
-Knowledge of healthcare and hospital operations is advantageous.
-Experience working with a donor database, Raiser’s Edge an asset.
