Who are we looking for and what will you do?

We are searching for an experienced Director of Fund Development & Communications with excellent leadership skills and networking abilities. This individual will be responsible for building good relationships with prospective and current donors across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal teams. You need to have the ability to create strategic and tactical plans that will ensure annual funding targets are met. You should be proactive, and have the ability to inspire those around you. Qualification Criteria:

– Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in fundraising, public relations, marketing or a related field;

– Minimum of 3 years experience and a proven record of success in raising funds for non-profit organizations from government and non-government sources;

– Solid interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills;

– Ability and interest in working with and for diverse populations;

– An understanding of non-profit and social services sector;

– Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, including design software i.e. Canva and fundraising data base programs;

– Experience producing print materials (brochures, newsletters, etc.)

– Outgoing, inclusive and welcoming in nature

– Resourceful, motivated and energetic

– Strong skills in website maintenance and social media best practices

– Superior accuracy and attention to detail;

– Strong organizational and time-management skills;

– Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for meetings and events when required;

– Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
