The Advancement and Community Engagement team is seeking dynamic research and analytical professional to join the team in the role of Development Officer, Prospect Research. The Development Officer is responsible for driving the prospecting and pipeline process in support of fundraising, with a focus on Major Gift fundraising. The Development Officer, Prospect Research will research, prepare, and provide profiles and detailed reports, on potential and identified prospects as well as potential volunteers and board members. Using current research methods, the incumbent will contribute to meeting fundraising targets by identifying potential donors by augmenting existing data.

The Development Officer, Prospect Research will research, prepare, and provide profiles and detailed reports, on potential and identified prospects as well as potential volunteers and board members. Using current research methods, the incumbent will contribute to meeting fundraising targets by identifying potential donors by augmenting existing data.

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate brings a positive and can-do approach to problem-solving and achieving results, is tech savvy, with experience leveraging prospect research databases such as SEDAR, SEDI, CharityCan to name a few. Experience with Raiser’s Edge or other fundraising databases, as well as proficiency in MS office applications and Google Suite complete your profile. A team player, you are detail and customer service oriented and are a strong communicator.  In addition, the successful candidate should also hold a university degree and/or a diploma in a related field such as library and information science, and at a minimum will have 2-3 years of experience conducting research using data analytical software.
