The Opportunity:

As a member of the growing Advancement and Community Engagement team, the Major Gift Officer brings experience to the team in the strategy and solicitation of significant gifts. As a seasoned professional, the incumbent will be confident in all areas of the donor cycle (identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship) with superior communications skills. The candidate will secure Major Gifts in support of Branksome Hall’s current campaign, the most ambitious fundraising effort in its 118-year history.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of donors;
  • Secure Major Gifts in support of key Branksome Hall priorities;
  • Ensure all donor activities are well documented in Raiser’s Edge;
  • Partner with the Associate Director, Marketing and Communications for proposal and donor material(s) development;
  • Deepen existing relationships with donors through stewardship activities.

Candidate Profile:

As the ideal candidate, you have 3-5 years of progressive major gift experience. You are skilled at navigating through data to identify top prospects and confident in engaging these prospects in conversation. With a strong sense of professional judgement and customer service orientation, you thrive in a fast-paced environment, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage multiple time sensitive complex priorities and meet deadlines effectively. You are a creative thinker and engage donors using your strong relationship management skills. You bring a positive and can-do approach to decision-making and problem-solving. Strong technology skills, Raiser’s Edge experience, as well as proficiency in MS office applications and Google Suite complete your profile.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $100,000
