Attend the National Philanthropy Day Celebration

Please join AFP Golden Horseshoe as we return for our annual National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carmen’s Banquet Centre in Hamilton.

We’re excited to be back in person after a three-year hiatus to honour the individuals, community groups and businesses who have enhanced philanthropy and our community through hard work, dedication and leadership.

The event will also bestow seven awards to acknowledge and celebrate exemplary individuals and/or organizations in philanthropy across the Golden Horseshoe. Members of the community were encouraged to put forward nominations from their network for the consideration of the award selection committee, comprised of local non-profit and marketing professionals. Winners have since been announced – see below.

Meet our MC

The event will be MC’d by Sunni Genesco, who has been doing the morning show on BOUNCE 102.9 in Hamilton for the past 31 years. Her passion is getting out into the community and helping to make a difference. Her motto is laughter is the best medicine but when there’s a need for help to raise awareness for a cause, Sunni makes sure the message is delivered to the community she loves.
