Need to Know: Participation in the AFP CFRE Refresher Course may assist you in learning or reviewing concepts covered on the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) examination as detailed on the Test Content Outline provided by CFRE International. However, the AFP CFRE Refresher Course is not designed specifically as a prep course for the exam. It is designed to provide a review of concepts one should know at the five-year experience level. AFP highly recommends that the refresher course be just one of the resources you use in preparing to take the CFRE exam.
Individuals are not required to take the CFRE Certification Exam after the course.
There is a separate application and application fee for the CFRE Exam which must be received by CFRE International at least 2 months (60 days) prior to the exam date.
Course overview: Participants will be asked to apply fundraising theory, skills, and techniques within the six knowledge domains of the field, based on experience at the three to five year level. This course will be presented by fellow fundraisers that have obtained their CFRE’s.
