Experience: 5+ years experience in fundraising environment

Understanding of stages of donor life cycle

Experience with Raiser's Edge software

Experience in non-profit setting

Experience in an Independent School (asset)

Qualifications: Bacherlor's Degree preferred

Member of AFP (asset)

Working Conditions: Office Environment, Mac, Google

Occasional evening/weekend work

Role Overview

Reporting to the Director, The Annual Fund, the Annual Fund Coordinator is responsible for overall database management, supporting donor relations, and general departmental support. This is an exciting opportunity to significantly contribute to the effective and efficient operations of a busy School and Advancement Department. 

Duties and Responsibilites

Database Management

  • Process all gifts through Raiser's Edge to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data entry
  • Prepare and distribute tax receipts and stewardship letters
  • Extract and report accurate and relevant data from Raiser's Edge through queries, exports and reports
  • Maintain a detailed, consistent and up-to-date donor database
  • Track campaign metrics, success, and generate fundraising reports
  • Reconcile monthly revenue in collaboration with the Finance Department

 

Donor Relations

  • Assist with the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship plans for donors
  • Assist with prospect research
  • Field general inquiries with professionalism

 

Departmental Support

  • Assist with the development and launch of fundraising campaigns
  • Assist with the execution of all Advancement responsibilities
  • Support fundraising events as required
  • Responsible for general department administration as needed
  • Manage monthly budget accounts and reports
  • Support the Parents' Association as required
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience assisting with the development and launch of fundraising campaigns
  • Proven ability to record gifts, track fundraising success and manage Raiser's Edge records
  • Knowledge of CRA guidelines and regulations as it relates to charitable receipting
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent customer service skills complemented by exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
