Fundamentals of Fundraising Program
Fundamentals of Fundraising is composed of seven (7) modules offered over a 2-day weekend session that has been designed by experienced fundraising professionals to meet the real-world needs and challenges non-profit organizations face every day.

ED SLUGA, CFRE - Ed Sluga, PGgrowth's President, is one of Canada's most experienced Planned Giving professionals and has had extensive experience operating all types of fundraising programs for local, regional and national not-for-proft organizations. For over 20 years, he has helped hundreds of organizations from across the country develop and benefit from long-term, sustainable and proactive fundraising programs. Ed has held the positions of Vice President, Major and Planned Gifts for the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital, Executive Director of The Children's Foundation of Guelph and Wellington, National Director of Planned Giving and Philanthropy Services for the CNIB and Head of Advancement for St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School as well as consulting in all areas of fund development and donor engagement. Ed has always focused on developing organizational structures and operations so that they are positioned to experience success for the long-term with the chief motivation in helping organizations achieve the goals of their mission within their communities.

THERESA BUTLER-PORTER, CFRE - Theresa Butler-Porter wants to live in a world where every charity and not-for-profit benefits from a well-supported, vibrant, and sustainable Planned Giving program. Evangelical about the power of Planned/Legacy Giving, she has experienced first-hand the impact a robust program can have on an organization. A philanthropy professional with 20 years experience, Theresa has worked for top tier organizations: United Way of Peterborough, Trent University and the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation and has been at the Lakefield College School Foundation for the past 12 years.
Always willing to share her expertise and creativity, Theresa is well-known as a popular and enthusiastic presenter and has spoken at events across Canada. When she's not engaging in ways to promote Planned/Legacy Giving, you'll find Theresa creating short stories, mentoring young fundraisers and volunteering in her community.
