For the first time since 2007, AFP Golden Horseshoe will be increasing its membership dues. Although the Chapter has been able to keep membership dues steady for a number of years, the increase is needed now to offset rising expenses and to continue to meet the expectations of fundraising professionals for expanded offerings in professional development.

For the first time, this popular face-to-face introductory course will be available in Waterloo this Spring starting April 12 to May 26, 2016. The AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course is composed of seven modules that have been designed by experienced fundraising professionals to meet the real-world needs and challenges nonprofit organizations face every day. This course includes case studies and video segments, making the learning experience both substantive and enjoyable.

The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy—Canada and Mackenzie Investments are teaming up to offer Canadian fundraising professionals working for charitable and non-profit organizations, the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills in fundraising. Financial scholarships, up to a maximum of $1000, are being offered to cover registration and travel costs for educational programs at the local, national and/or international level.
